designing front cover

we design our front cover in the ict media room on photoshop. we first looked at our photos that we took from the previous lesson and then chose the photos that we was going put on our front cover. after we chose our photos we copy and paste it on our A4 spread on photoshop. we then as a group decide how big our font was going to be and what font we was going to use. we decided to use the font 'Cracked'.

the title of our front cover was half in black and half in white. after i cut some of the other photos my group took and added them to my front cover. i added cover lines, main cover line and straplines to my front cover.

we was allowed to get 1 image from the internet for our front cover. i decided to get an inage of 1 artist that was going to be in our magazine. i also copy and paste front the internet the bar code.

after i got all the things i needed i then started to arrange them around in different places to see if it will look best in the place i put them. i arrange the images, title and bar code around in different places for a few minutes. i didnt want the title to go over the face of the person that was going to be my background. i moved the title to the top right where most magazine would put the title. i then moved the barcode to the bottom left and moved the image i took from the internet to the bottom right. after i arrange all these things i started to think of what i was going to write for my main coverline, and coverlines.

as a group we decided to write somethink like; "top 10 tracks of the month", " interview with the man himself O. Dot"....

our main coverline was going to be " NEW ALBUM BY D.T.O must buy". i decided to also add more coverlines such as who is featuring in this magazine.

after awhile i decided to tilte the title abit to make it more of a hiphop and R&B title. after this i thought that there was to much empty areas on the front cover so i again went back to my groups photos that we took to see if any of the photos that looks good and will look good on the cover. i decided to cut out images of my group to add on the cover as we decided to make a band featuring the group as an artist in the magazine. i also added the price and date of the magazine.
